hi there, basically i got a psp v2.00 i want to play a 400+ snes game cd i ordered and cant play the games, cos they are only for lower versions, all i want to know, in its simplest form, can i safely downgrade? how? can i go back up to v2.00 if i need to. any help is gold. thanks guys

well...you don't know anything so..
Many people are working to hack the 2.00 firmware...they've already hacked 1.51 and 1.52..so you can downgrade to 1.50...that is enough...but there is NOT an hack for ver 2.00 now...probably in less than a month we'll see a safe way to downgrade the psp from any version :P

If you want to use the 'Browser' you'll need PSP Firmware 2.0, or Firmware 1.5 (to run a Homebrew / Wipeout / Tenchi - Browser),.
You'll need to have at least One 802.11x (a,b,g or n) PCI Card, I think you should be able to then create a Network Bridge useing the ICS Features in Windows to eventually link up your PSP to your Wired Network. Alternitvly you could just go out for a Cup of Coffee and use there Network (i.e. Starbucks)...
cool, so i need the pci card to use the psp online at home? and if i went to somewhere with a network i.e starbucks i can just connect with my psp there and then. sorry i was a little confused.
Since the PSP will be the only Wireless Device I own at the moment I also don't have any major plans to purchace a Wireless Router! I'm Personaly not that down with it. But I think somehting like a NIC2NIC connection should be possible. This is how I have my XBOX? connected to my PC / Internet. Works like a charm! (with a CAT-5E Crossover Cable.
I'd guess Google would be a better place to start searching for this information. But, first things first! I need to recover from the Sticker shock ?339.00(EUR) PSP W/2 Games... And having the actuall PSP in my Hand! would probably also be a help. I had to return it to the Shop because of Dead / Stuck Pixles! =(
But, It'll be fun to actually use Kai for once without all the XBOX? Lameres' (e.g. Cheaters),. Then again I'm sure those People will find away to fuxx0r that up as well too...

can anyone tell me where to get this ability to downgrade from 1.51 to 1.5.. if it even exists.
