help, my computer won't recognize my psp!

I just got the data transfer/charger cable but when i start up the pc it won't recognize it.
Can anyone suggest anything?

Does your pc recognize any other usb devices? If not, then your usb ports may be turned off. Just wondering.

yep it does. It works with dongles and cameras. I even swapped the cable from the usb port at the front to a port at the rear but still no go.

Did you buy a cable that has a power cable on it too. I had troubles with mine(especially when i plugged into the power at the same time. And without the power it didnt work very well. I got a new cable and things are great(one without power on it)

I just had a go with a friends cable and it works!

just a crap cable - phew!!!
