I don't think you can use Backups as there is no Media Availble for you to use. Much less a Burner to write it too. I heard it said that if you have Firmware 1.5 (or less), installed on the PSP you can eventully copy your Games to a very large and expesive Memorystick DUO Chip. Take a look around! I gather 4 out of 5 Threads are currently dealling with such a Topic this very instant!

Ok how Smart Guy? I have a PSP Currently sitting at Firmare 1.52 waiting for me to go upto Firmware 2.0. The upshot No Homebrews! No Backups! and again How do you want to run a Backup. surely not on a UMD-R\RW, as they do not exist! at least not yet! and I'm not holding my breath for one either. As for Memsticks if you have more Dollars then Sence Yeah I sopose that could work, although I've read on the Web and in some Hack Mag that you're not likey to be able to replay the BGM Music from most Games this way. Muchless the Vocal Music tracks.
But, if you know something I don't (quite likely since I only had a PSP for now what like? 11h 30m (at the time of writting!),. So please instow some of your embued Knoledge on the rest of us!

Ichijoe calm the flip down, seriosuly, first off you can buy a gig stick from dell, second, all you need is a 1.5 firmwire, so Ichijoe, you cant, however, if you do have 1.5, you can install the fastloader, and save them to your memory stick.. Jeeze Ichijoe calm down..

I don't know what the ~average~ PSP is in the States right now I'm sure it varies by region! But, every PSP released since 'Sept. The First', in Europe is 1.52. So at the moment (in Europe), there is no way for you to make / run backups on your PSP. That is unless your close to Team WAB and can get a taste of there Sauce. The rest of us Mortals have to chill out, till furter notice.
$ony has placed a Notice (it should be the First thing you see after opening the Box up! Telling you to run the UMD Demo Disc. DO NOT DO THIS!! Allthough Team WAB are talking Crap at the moment. It would appear that there 'Downgrader' Hack should work for 2.0 aswell. Thing is, You don't need PSP 2.0 if you bought your 'Value Pack' with the 'Rige Racer' + 'Other Game' Pre Order. I haven't recieved my 'Spderman 2' UMD yet. But, I've heard that to run it it'll demand you to upfalsh to 2.0.
One thing is for sure (and is in close circles generaly aggreed upon), it'll be somewhat easeier to hack 1.5x then it'll be to do 2.0. (Could be why WAB haven't released it yet. Allthough I'm inclined to to think Team WAB would use any excuse at this point!),. One thing is for sure though. DO NOT UPGRADE to 2.0 till you have no choise in the matter. And then I'd still hold off till the end of the Month, before giving in to it....
