hi
i have bought the australian psp release which came out on 1/09. It has firmware 1.52 and encourgaes buyers/users to update to version 2.00. Is there any way to downgrade to version 1.5?? if any one has any ideas please help.

Currently there is no was known safe way to downflash a PSP. There are a buch of 'Newbiess' in here claming that someone is working on it. Having paid a visit to there IRC Channel I have the distiinct feeling that the whole thing was a plained Hox or wose yet a an attempt to Scam People out of there PSP's and or Cash!
Needless to say there IRC Servers been taken Off-Line So threr's no way to contact 'em...

yeh 8081trav its the same here in uk. they give u a demo discs and tell u to install it and u will hve the latest version 2.0. well i didnt as i heard around talk about 2.0. well im waitng for a downgrade tool for the version 1.52...

No it is not possible at this time to downflash a PSP all talk of it (i.e. 'Das (Sept. 1st), Wunder Hack), is a Hox. I don't think those People had done anything either. Apprerntly someone in the PSP-Dev Team accused Yoshi and his Boyz of stealing there code. Or so I've seen on other Fourms. Nothing new there that Posers come and try to pass off Works as there own on IRC! or p2p for that matter!
I only wished I had thought to have staied on there Channel long enough to log some of it to share with you.
Nagh it's probably better that I didn't that kind of abuse going on there would get most People baned on most Fourms I've been on. Which seems to favor Team PSP-Dev's arguments...

PS2 and or X Box. It was good deal as i just had 10 games sitting around and had a chance to get rid of them.

i live in victoria, i payied 399 in e.b, i wish i had traded in some games cause after i brought it i went over to power house and it was ten dollars cheaper
was it a bad idea updating it to 2.00

Some people think its bad as they cant run homebrew on the PSP anymore.
You can get it off ebay but theyre usually jap versions.
$399-390 it seems to be around that range all over australia :)

well as i understand 2.0 is sonys way of making sure hackers cant hack the system. I think that there is a hack being developed for the 1.52 to downgrade to 1.5 however i dont think there is a hack for 2.0 at the moment.

Well I would hold off updateing, for a while aswell. But, I don't see no Genuine Hack for PSP v1.52, and makeing one at this point. Is well pont-less, when all collective efforts could be, and should be turned on PSP v.2.0. The Hack will come sooner or most likely latter...
It did not come on Sept 1st as some here have clamed for the last Week (or so), and it didn't get released today either. And unless this Yoshi Guy successeds in snaging Code again. It will not be coming from Him...
