Hi looking for a fix to a problem I have been having, I'm running NERO 6 and I keep getting a buffer underrun problem. I'm just wondering how I get this fixed. I was first trying to use DVDShrink but it failed then I tried nero to see if it was the writing software and it appears so. This is a new burner, a Plextor PX-712SA (SATA cables), new MSI NEO4 motherboard with a 64 Atholon and 1GB of DDR. This is a newly formated hard drive (and I have defraged). The buffer underrun protection is turned on in NERO. I did use this version of NERO on my old computer and had no issues with it. The disk I'm using are TDK DVD-R (never had a problem with them before). If you need any more info let me know... Thanks for all the help out there. Here is the error message from DVDShrink (using Nero as the burn program):

Thanks for the help but unfortunatly it didn't seem to work, I updated NERO and updated the firware plextor file. The DMA was something that caught my eye earlier, when i went into the device manger files and tried to change the controller's DMA settings there was none, it just has the title NVIDIA nForce4 ADMA controller prop. the tabs are general, primary channel, secondary channel, driver, resource. under primary channel it has the burner and it says under transfer mode: "serial ATA generation1 1.5G" and the "let BIOS select transfer mode" is checked. So I'm still at a loss for what's going on. After the new software and firware I get this as the NERO error message:
