I have DVD X Copy Platinum and I it seems to copy a dvd and burn it, but when I put it into a dvd player, it said no disk. I have tried using both the DVD ROM and DVD RW drives to copy it. The DVDs I got from the computer store are not a name brand and have a lable that states DVD+R4.7GB 4X.

Any Ideas.

Some DVD players use DVD-R media and will only play those type of discs and some DVD players dont play certain brands of discs. Do a media compatability search over the net for the brand and model DVD player you are using (ex. Sony XKL100) first then we'll try other things.

Also, there is a good chance you are either burning too fast or you have bad media.

I have gotten "No Disc" Messages on my older Samsung player, but that is because it is super picky. Now I burn with Fujifilm DVD+R 8x media made in Japan I have no problems. I burn at 4x, but you may have to burn at 2x.

Give us the DVD player model as suggested and also the media code of your DVDs.

I am burning at 16X so I will try to burn at 2x.
I was kind of werry about the disk because there is no brand name at all on it.

The DVD players have played DVDRs, but if they had not I would not even have thought of that. I am extreemly new at this and have no clue. Thanks for all of your help.

@ WEDED hi :)
yes 16x burn speed is way to high. the chances of burn error at that speed are very high, especially on poor media.
as JaguarGod has stated lower it to 2x - 4x
you can download DVD Identifier or DVDinfoPro to ID your disc's

Wed....... identify your disk ...... like Rotary asked.... and also try to set your writer's book type to DVD-ROM. That will help identify your disk and be more acceptable to other DVD players.
