I dont think theres a N64 emulator just yet. Give it sum time and people will work it out and find emulators for all sorts of things!

at some point someone might come up with a n64 emulator but i personally dont think that the psp is capable of running it at 333 mhz. Maybe it can, with some games that dont really require much (perhaps starcraft 64?) I really wish it could be done, i would love to play some old smash bros. 64 on the psp ^_^

Then you're damn lucky, Axthos, 'cos that game has been ported ! Go to www.psp-hacks.com and go to downloads -> and you'll see super smash bros.

Xern, that isnt a port of smash brothers 64, its a very weird smash bros - like game called smash GP.. it was made from scratch, you can go see the screenshots, they made an error when they said its a port, i was so happy when i saw it but it wasnt it. I was really expecting something else.

There are many many emulators, there's SNES emulator, AMIGA, PC Engine, NES, Game boy Color, Game boy advance (doesnt work really well yet), MAME (Multiple Arcade MAchine Emulator), NEO GEO CD, im missing a few, oh a Play station one emulator but it's on a very early stage (runs at about .5 fps) and im missing others.

Sometimes all you need is to know how to change certain files or just to locate some missing files like bios (on some cases), but that's about it at least. There are many emulator packs which are pretty much damn easy to use, just copy paste to memory card. You can find a good one on www.psp-ita.com, the page is italian so good luck

That'll never happen. PCs at over double the power of a PSP can't even emulate N64 properly. 1Ghz with 256mb RAM is about the minimum for playable games. Maybe well see it with PSP2. Think 16 bit systems and lower for nice PSP emulation.

I was wondering If anyone knows if there will be an emulator coming out for the psp. Basically allowing the user to play xbox games on the psp!

Imagine playing Halo and Halo 2 and splinter cell and Rainbow six on the psp with xbox graphics.

God, that would be the life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

=:)

What games can you play with these emulators. Do you download say the BIN files for master system/genisis and use these (ie. Standard Roms), or is there a special type of ROM which is compatible with the PSP.

Also can anyone please tell me if it's possible to play SWOS (Sensible Worold of Soccer) with the Amiga emulator. i know its an old game but it's still sweet........ maybe not in the same league as GTA:Liberty City Stories, but I still like it.

you can play with the very same roms than any emulator uses, the only thing that changes is THE emulator itself but it uses the very same roms for example the snes emulator for psp uses the .smc (those are the only ones i have tried) maybe it also supports .fig, .nes, .gbc and all the other usuals.

Ah, sorry about the Mario Smash, hadn't checked around that much. And, I couldnt, because it wouldn't launch (YES, I have v1.50) ... Thought I'd announce it anyways. ;)

You aren't missing much on the Super Smash. It's like if they tried to put Super Smash Bros. on a GBA. It's nothing like the N64 version.
