I have a HL-DT-ST DVD +RW GRA-4120B that recently has given me problems. I used to have no problems opening a disk with DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter. Now it gives me a copy protection error Request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. I had posted this in the DVD Shrink forum because there was a thread stating that it was an issue with Nero & DVD Shrink compatability.

However, I have found that the issue is that my computer won't play or open dual layer DVDs, but it will play single layer DVDs that I have previously backed-up. It also won't burn any single layer DVDs now with DVD Decrypt. Is this a problem with my drive?
