Okay, I've been having probs with playback. it plays for the intro, pixels and freezes. I've cranked the burn speed to 4x, even 2x, using hp DVD-R wich some people say is poor quality. So after 3 shiny hp frisbees, I tried Fujifilm DVD+R (made in Japan)at 4x and BAM! Same problem. Thought maybe it was the compression rate of 76%, but then I got the same freezing prob with a movie with 86%. Again, just at the beginning. I can skip ahead one, then rewind to a time after the freeze frame, and it will play fine. Wierd, huh? Clues anyone? Burning using Nero 3.1.6 , using DVD Decrypter then DVD Shrink first.
nope, I do have Nerovision, ( sounds like a lame super power, doesn't it?) but it burns with Nero Burning ROM, version 6,3,1,26. I'll check and see if I can find those hicky- doos to paste here
Okay, if anybody is watching this thread, I have realized something about the freezing problem. I have burned alot of the HP media DVD's succesfully, no freeezing, etc. In looking back, I realize these sucsses were shrinkage issues. I don't mean cold weather shrinkage ( it's really bigger) . When DVD Shrink can't get the percentage high enough, I have the pixelation issues. I'm not sure what the magic percentage is, but Pirates of the Caribbean was a 76%, and it pixels and freezes at the start. I have read in the forums that Shrink has troubles around 70%, but I also had freezes at 86% shrinkage. Any ideas?
