I am having a big dispute with this person about how there can never be any DVD-9 Burners. ALl I now is they will never make none becuase I read a few post here.

Can anyone give me a whole answer to how this cannot be done.

AND1, you are correct. The reason is that there is no burner that can burn one layer ans then burn the second layer (DVD-9). The commercially made DVD's that are DVD-9 are stamped at the factory with the second layer information. That's why . At least as I understand it.
