...i'm trying to capture from VHS with virtualdub. But if there are bad parts on the tape (chewing parts) white screens apears on the capturing. I've tried different codecs but that's not obviously the problem. Anyone know what to do? Or you can't?

Not a lot you can do if the analog video singal is garbled due to bad tape. You could put an image-stablizer in series and clean some of it, but it really depends on how bad that section of video is.
