liteon SOHW-1673s juat stopped working

Been backing up files onto dvd for a while now usibg liteon SOHW-1673s ,so far had no probs but just today its has started failing imediently after initiating burn.
its also producing an ominous clicking sound and locking windows ,otherwise just failing!
it seems to read ok as i can easily watch movies or play games e.t.c but the burn just does not work


using red ridisc for ages and have had no probs to dat,is my burner dead?

please help just spent £200 on gpu and mem ,dont really wanna go spend more!
