I'm new to this, so please be patient with me. I downloaded a movie using BitComet (I got a Bit Torrent from Pirate Bay) and used, or tried to use WinRar to "unzip" it or whatever it is WinRar does so you can play it. When WinRar finished its job the file was a .bin file. I tried to change the extension (which I'm not sure you are supposed to do that or not, but I did it) to .mpg then to .iso then to .avi. These extensions are the extensions I got from other movies that I have with Win Media Player, Win DVD, and DivX player. None of these things worked. I tried a lot of different things to try to get it to play, but nothing seems to work. I have done this a couple of times before, but as I said I am new to this, so I haven't got the hang of it yet. I always end up forgetting what I did to get the previous one to play. Anyway, any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Never change the extension of files if you don't know what they are.
A bin and cue file is a disk image. Just burn it to a cd, your burning program must support burning image files. You can also install virtual drive. All you would do is mount the image to the virtual drive and your media player would view it as a regular cd.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it

Nownthen,,, thanks,, GREATLY appreciated. I downloaded a Virtual Drive (wasn't quite sure what was going to happen with that!), and it took a couple of minutes of figuring out that thing, but I clicked somewhere and Voila... the movie started playing.
Thanks Very, Very, much.
