Dear c2at1time,
Let's just focus on burning discs, not yourself. *_*
Can you tell us:
1) what is the original format of the movie clips (e.g. mpeg, dat)?
2) what procedures have you been using?

Dear c2at1time,
It's quite normal for a VCD to have the five folders that you mentioned. So that probably has nothing to do with the failure.
You may try:
1) encode the DivX to VCD (and save to harddisk) with winavi
2) click on the .dat file inside the mpegav folder to see if you can play the movie.
Post the results and we'll figure out what to do next.
Good luck!

What can I say, I like Nero a lot myself, but ask around and people would tell you that it's not a very good encoder.
Anyway, if things are working now, just use this method from now on.
Happy VCD burning!

i really appreciate your help...i wish that Nero would encode my files..but by running thru winavi then burning as an iso well it works at least.....now to bin and cue...ive burned a few with success.but a few mistakes..i mounted image..cue..on alchohol 120 or damion and some of the cue's open up with those five files again cd1 mpegav VCD ext segment....although i can get the mpegav folder to play on my puter..with Nero mix..what do i have to do to burn them so they will open properly.. and not those five seperate folders..thanx in advance.....peace cc
