I don't think that will work the PSP has no AV out that 'Port' your refering to is for the Remote Control.

As for the Packed Earbuds did the US / Jap Markets get the same lame arsed "Ear Frindly 90dB" ones. I don't know if the PSP like the iPod is in fact Volume Caped. But those damned Earbuds that came with the PSP (European Market), sure are! Simply chuck 'em and use a different set of Buds to enjoy a much LOUDER (allbeit not much louDER), Volumes on the PSP...

Yes, it is possible to hook the psp to a tv just for the sound. Not the display. I would love it if the PSP was able to be played portable or on tv. It is a option that sony should have considered when making the PSP. It would have only helped the sales if i could play the PSP in the car and then plug in a 2cd ps2 controller through maybe the usb and somehow hook to a tv and play that way too. When i am at home somtimes i found that hooking the psp to my stereo using a av jack (p.s. you need to buy an adapter that will fit into the headset port and is av ready on the opposite end. Try Radio Shack) was the best option. Pumping up the sound that is already great quality wise with a 300 watt stereo,.... Well you guys should give it a try if you ever have the chance. You can also buy amplified speakers like the ones that hook to some computers. The have headphone jacks that fit perfect into the PSP. Some of the speakers will even run from batteries but it may be too much for you to carry together if you are trying to keep your load small. There are some speakers that are made specifically for the PSP to enhance sound that are amplified with batteries so searching those out might be your best option.

You can also use a portable cd player adapter to plug into the headphone jack and then into a car tape deck for those of you that still have tape decks availiable. Benefits comes to being able to hear games over car stereo and lets remeber now you can also listen to all of your MP3 music in your car. HA HA nice tough ehhh??? The av adapter can also be used in the car if you have a radio that will accept the av jacks in your car.

I see where you all want to go with this...

But, why on Earth would I want to use a +300W 30" TV to playback the Sound on my PSP?? If you had to do something like this wouldn't a Male to Male 3.5mm Connector be a wiser choice the you could use you PC Speakers / Games Console Speakers. Which only use a fraction of the Electricity then say a large CRT TV...

Well i have not ever hooked my psp to my tv. I have hooked it to my 300 watt stereo though. A Male to Male 3.5mm Connector is not needed to hook up computer speakers and i dont think that would work. You have to go female to male. The end of most headphones and pc speaker is a male end and you need to plug it into a female end not anther male end. The psp comes with a female output and most pc speakers have a male end on them already.

LMAO LMAO

lmtlmt,.... Man!!! LMAO.
I was thinking exactly what you just said I just didnot want to be that blunt. LMAO
Any fool should have known that you were talking about the earphone port but i guess some people dont have the same common sense as the average individual.
I am a nurse and i have been taking my psp to work listening to mp3 on the radio in my nursing station. Putting the songs on a mp3 cd would not work b/c the $20 radio has a cd player but does not read mp3 disc. Also i dont have to worry about the laser being dirty or the disc skipping this way. I just need to get a bigger stick to hold more music.
