Sorry for my naivity, but a use my pc to play dvds from different regions especially 1 and 2. My DVD drive keeps asking me to change between playback regions and the message from I believe the InCD programme VOM-12E48X says I can only change between playback regions a limited no of times. Is there a way around this so that I can permanently use this dvd drive to play any region dvd changing it as many time as I want between regions without the limits set or is there another programme that I may be able to get to resolve this limitation.
I don't know about you, but both of my Toshiba dvd-rom and Sony burner never experienced any issues playing all kinds of dvds at variety regions. I guess you can go here http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php and look for your drive to see if there's any update firmware for the drive. Sometime they'll have a region free hacked and or a firmware that'll make it region free. Hope this gives you some idea.
This may be irrelevant to you, but just a note that's all. Again I'm not sure about you, but I don't like that InCD program and its products on my system, especially if I have Nero on my system already. InCD and Nero don't really get along well. So in the future if you're going to do any burning using Nero, then I suggest you to "uninstall" all of InCD's stuff out from your system. However, the choice is yours.

Your operating system, DVD player program, and DVD Drive have region counters.
If you change the "drive" 4 times after the initial setting, it will be locked in the last region you had it set too.
What you need to do is:
Find a Region-free firmware for your DVD drive and flash it.
Use something like NeroInfo tool to check if the drive changed to RPC 1. (there are utillities for some drives that can reset the counter)
Now you need something that turns off the O.S. and playback software counters.

There are drives that don't have this kind of firmware.

Many thanks Guys, have found out from the sites you recommended that no such software available for this particular drive but was recommended to DVD Region+CSS free programme, have now downloaded trial version of it to see how I get on, so far so good - got another 27days left to try it out.
