Use VSO DivXtoDVD (FREEWARE Version) to convert them quicker and more succesfully then Nero.

nero's encoder is one of the worst. also try http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/t...
just out of curiosity, what kind of dvd player do you have? because i have been successful using another format, and can burn a full length movie in under 2 minutes, with no encoding at all !

i dont know what the x-box does and does not support, so i may not be able to help you there. but you also want to do your burns at 4x or less, irregaurdless what the media says, gets you a better end result and reliable too. try nero's burning rom instead of express. but either way, it will still need to be encoded so it can play, and NVE does take time to re-encode, but the burn is fairly quick, depending on pc specs.
