Hey
Just wondering.
With modern technology as it is,
ya can rip dvd's to ya hard drive as back up and stuff, safekeeping and what not. Same with games and music as well. Ton's of different ways of storing transferring and keeping all ya precious data safe so if anything goes wrong ya can burn a new copy.
Well with UMD meant to be the next big thing, (just like mini discs, lol, anyone got one of thoses'?) is there a way to back up ya games or movies from UMD straight to ya hard drive. For safe keeping?
I know all the other media, ie: games and movies, are on dvd or cd and can go in ya cd/dvd drive and copied there, but ya psp can coonect via usb, why does it not show the UMD disc via that??? To make a safe copy?
Also, anyone know of any news of making a UMD drive??
I've seen blank UMD that ya can buy whilst browsing the net, but how do you actually write them???

Actually you dont need to even back it up,,, you can do it completely illegal =D and i have never heard of a blank umd, and dont expect a umd drive at all...

well sorry to dissappoint you mate but you can buy from japan a umd writer for your psp so you can record from tv, and thus therefore can buy blank umd's
Look at Lik-sang.com
that's where I have seen the writer

That's bs dude. There's no blank umd's, why would sony do that? So people could backup games? Yeah, right. That recorder allows you to record tv shows to your memorystick. There's only two different recorders @lik-sang, and both record to memorystick. And you can "backup" your umd's with isoloader, but it's a lot easier to just download iso's directly from internet.
