1 Is there anyway to speed up the encoding process?

2 How can I get Nero to support .ogg, and. mkv files.

3 One DVD I burned had a distortion on the bottom of the screen. The distortion is there while I am making the DVD also. Any ideas how to fix it.

unless you tell us what your current pc stats are and the time it takes currently for you to accomplish the encoding portion.Its only going to be a hap hazzard guess at best.

I'd suggest that you look at AVI2DVD if you want to use those files.That program will be able to convert to mpeg2 before you use Nero to burn it to disc.
