Hi okay I haven't bought a PSP yet. They were just released here in SA about 2weeks ago...Anyways I would like to know if it is possible to connect a psp to a tv so you can use the tv as the screen, if it is possible what would you need? And is there anyway to check what bios or firmware a psp has without buying it, is there anything on the box i can check???

Check out this thread for playing over a tv (why would you want to do that? Its called playstation PORTABLE for a reason).

Also, you can look at the box to determine what version psp you are buying (at least in the US it works this way). Look on the side of the box, there is a white sticker and near the top right corner it says "120V". If you look right below this, you will either see a blank line, an "A", or a "B".
If it is blank, it is a version 1.00.
If it has an A, it is a 1.50
If it has a B, it is 1.51 or higher.
Not sure what versions are being released in SA, but you could always try ebay for an older version. I believe all of the units being sold in the UK are versions 1.52, but dont quote me on that.
