I could use some help figuring this out....
I have a few games that are in iso format and they work fine with fastloader. And I have a few games that I have start up different.
For example: I have 2 directories that say common and Ape_game (which I put in my root) and ape and ape% which i put in my psp/game directory. Al the games I have that have to start up this way work ok but I want to convert them to Iso, because I like fastloader better. I have read the forums on how to rebuilt an iso with vcdromx, but with these games I have, there is no UMD_DATA.BIN file!!! Can I use just any UMD_DATA.BIN file? From another game I have? I have games that start up with hookboot. These have the game directory and the umd file. Will it work to convert these to iso?
It works fine now.....Just want to know....Thanx

the games with the PSP_GAME folder and the UMD_DATA.bin files could be converted to iso....but the other ones didn't......U can't use just any UMD_DATA.bin file from another game.....Tried it and it say's: disc could not be read when starting with umd emulator o.8
I did some reading somewhere else, but it seems you need the original boot.bin file from the game you want to convert because the ones I have were modified...It says u can use just any umd_dat.bin file.....but I think the original's better.....So I don't have a real answer yet but it seems u can't convert them without the orinal files....

If you open up the umd data file with notepad it has only one line of text

Example - Mercury says:
ULUS-10017|CBED578886E7142A|0001|G |

ULUS-10017 is the game code I think, every game is different. Don't know what the rest of the numbers are.
If someone knows how to change these attributes for each game I think it should work.
Any help guys as I am in the same boat.
