pioneer 105 -dvd problems pleez help

the heading is meant to be a105 dvd writer

this is drivin me crazy
every second dvd will read in dvd reader
but not anything else
i have tried 4 dvd coping progs
i got one of my friends to try the blanks on his pioneer dvd writer no probs
every time i try something different success
then next dvd will not read on anything
apart from my writer
someone please help before i go bannanas
tomorrow i am going to format my drive and try a fresh install
of win xp....unless i get some help from you guys

i have the same drive man, what is the prob?

I have backed up over 30 movies so far useing just one method, thoe only half will play in my PC's DVD player(Beats me) ALL play in my DVD burner and my real DVD player.
