I will be getting my xecuter 3 ce tommorrow and I am wanting to know which bios to get and what dashboard to use. I have a v1.3 or 1.4 xbox

I have the excuter 3ce to and i evox dash and bios are unknown i dont remember what i put on there

The latest BIOS for the X3 is "3294". You can have whatever dashboard you want installed. Avalaunch, EvolutionX, & Microsoft Dash are on my systems. Of course I can't use them simultaneously but I can switch between them at will. You may want to do that for the sake of figuring out which is best for you.

The BIOS versions are listed in the top right of that link as well as of info that may be helpful on your move to the X3 chip.

ok i installed the modchip and it worked fine.
I flashed the bios using a disc to the x3 3294 bios. that worked fine to
now when i turn on my xbox i get the bios menu right?
do i use slayers auto installer now?

X3 Installed, congratualtions. Do you have the control panel too/ maybe a pro switch?
How are you turning on the system, eject or pwer button?

i have the control panel that came with the chip and i am turning on the system with the power button
the switches are all off right now.

There are 4 white circle buttons on the contorl panel. The first 2 should be pushed in. Use the power button to bootup

Does you panel look like this??
If so, the first two circular buttons from the left need to be pushed in. The first one, oval shape, is optional. Doesn't matter.

i have the external switch that comes with the mod chip.
i don't have one like in your pic

ok uniique here is where i am at.
I have a xbox v1.2/1.3
Samsung sdg-605b dvd drive firmware version x010
I have xecuter 3ce installed and flashed with x3 3294 bios
here is what my xbox looks like after it boots up
and the top two switches on my external switch are on or to the right the rest are off or to the left.
i have also connected to my xbox using flashfxp and backed up my hd.
i am trying to use slayers auto installer v2.6 i burnt the iso with nero6 on a dvd-r and a cd-rw but my xbox doesn't do anything it just goes to the screen above.

I feel bad. All those post and I wasn't around. My bad. I wasn't aware you didn't have a dash...when you said it worked fine I assumed all the way but there was the boot up issue. my guess was you'd bumped a butotn or something.
So you got EvoX installed. Good. Now is it working for you? It should automatically boot to your dash. To get it to go back to the x3 Config Screen how down the white butotn on your controller as you boot.
My personal opinion, stick AvaL on your xbox as well. You can have both/multiple. I just think AvaL runs better and it has a few more option versus EvoX.
Ask one of the Moderators Oner what he thinks about EvoX, lol.

Just a little piece of advice...at least in my opinion ditch the Evox and get UnleashX off of xbins.!!!!! I use to have evox and ever since i got rid of it.....it has made my life a lot better!!! I would strongl suggest unleashX in combo with XMBC.
Xbox: V1.0, Thompson DVD-Rom Drive, 10 GB HD
Dash Board: Unleash X
Other Mods: LCD screen, 2 USB Ports, Pro Switch
APPS: Xbox Media Center
