my friend and i discovered that our school internet moves at a much much much faster speed then ours, and although we can dl off their comps, we cant get his laptop to dl from the wireless. it says something like "server not found". does anyone know how to get past whatever kind of blocks schools use?

and if i cant get past the blocks,would i be able to install a dvd burner program on to their comps? temporarily of course.

depending on the schools computer with the dvd cd's ur talking about, because i know in my school everything you install on the computer everything getrs erased thast been added on the computeres shut down or restart, so depending if ur skl has that it would be a waste, and i would also watch for teh administrators i believe they can track down everything that goes on into computers, because me and a few friends found this way on having this aim thing over Run. but they soon found out that we were doing that, but than again ur skl might be different than mine, but im in pa and go to cumberland valley h.school, but im pretty sure that you would be able to get into the wireless connection because if the teachers can go on them with their wireless laptops. sry i didnt give u a straight answer on doing that, hope it works out for oyu and u dont get in trouble for it eighter.

well i can dl an 170mb episode in about 10 minutes at school, so i would just dl a bunch and burn them, so i dont care if it all gets deleted. i can reinstall whatever i need each day i go. id rather use the wireless then use the school comps tho.

are u saying when u search for a wireless signal ur lappy doesnt even find one if thats the case then its ur lappy at fault but if it finds the signal and it wont let u connect than ur school has it locked and protected and if was ment to be used by the students than i bet ur school would gladly give u the passcode to access

but like i said if it doesnt even find a signal ur wireless card isnt working properly

at my old school the wireless wasnt even protected it was just open for all to use if nothing else unplug the cat5 from the back of the school comp and plug it into ur lappy
