as the title states, i dont know much with nero. i can copy and burn a dvd no problem, but any video i've downloaded off the internet will not burn. apparently i need to convert, but dont know to what; i dont know any of the process within nero. thanks

You'll need nerovision express the burn the movies to DVDs

Alternatively, you can convert the video files to dvd compliant format with VSO DivXtoDVD (free version), then burn with Nero:
