You may use VSO DivXtoDVD (free version) for converting those video files to dvd compliant format, then burn with Nero:

Just click on the link. That would lead you to the freeware version of VSO on this site.

i used to use DivXtoDVD to convert AVI files and other different media files that werent already in dvd format. Now i use the Nero vision express 2,to convert and burn avi's,mpeg's,wmv's,etc....

its quite easy actually.heres the steps.

1)open nero(duh)
2)go under"photo and video"
3)select"make your own dvd-video"
4)on the right side of the screen you'll see a whole bunch of options under the subject"what would you like to do?"
5)select "add video files"
6)locate all the files you wanna add to your dvd,and simply add them.
7)when you get to the "burn options"menu i would recommend"write to hard disc folder" instead of burning them straight away to dvd, simply because you might need to do some shrinking to make everything fit good on your dvd.anyway make a folder for all your videos to go to,and when your ready hit the "write"button on the bottom right hand side of the screen"
8)just warning you this process will take a long time,so i would do it while you're sleeping or something,or maybe while you're at work.example i was converting some 30 min tv episodes earlier today,6 total episodes,it took about an hour for each episode.why? i have no idea.
9)anyway,after they are done,go to dvdshrink, locate the folder, run it through shrink incase you need compression
10)go back to Nero, locate the folder you sent all your videos to,select it,and burn it.done,over,finished.

hope this helped

I just did much the same thing on 2 1hr episodes of tvshow in XviD and it took 3hrs using express3 in verbose 2pass mode for better quality but if I had used 1 pass mode half the time would have been saved Might wanna try it "thanks for the tip on using shrink next I will try to put 3episodes in high quality to hard drive and shrink see if it works and plays on my dvd player because I have problems sometimes with movies that are over 3hrs ripped and burned using shrink and disc copier
by the way happen to know if express 2 can handle XviD files???
