i have a movie obtained in bin/cue, burned to cd-r using nero, just like i always do w/out problems, but the output was super jerky. after investigating i found the mpeg2 to be encoded in PAL (i'm in the states). using canopus procoder i converted to NTSC format w/out a hitch. the file plays fine on my pc (small loss in quality), but upon attempting to burn the NTSC formatted file using nero (svcd plugin), i'm finding the file to be too large to fit on my 700MB CD-R's. prior to converting to NTSC the file is 804 MB (that's what i'm reading off of the PAL version already burned on CD-R...the jerky one). after conversion the mpeg2 file is 883 MB.

is this jump in size normal? did i do something wrong in ProCoder? any suggestions on how i can squeeze the NTSC version onto a CD-R w/out losing any more quality?

any help would be appreciated. i did a search here and found nothing to assist me.
