wellll how can i describe it, my lcd monitor, when i turn on the computer and the lcd monitor,, the computer is on but the lcd screen go blank, i have to wait at least a few hrs for the lcd screen on. well it seem like the screen doesnot respond to the signal from the computer. i dont know what wrong... any help will apreciat.

try the monitor on another computer & try another videocard. if monitor still does it than is a cold solder joint problem, that is why it takes a few hrs to work has the heat causes the open solder joint to close & it works.

thanx ddp, i did try it on another comp, it still does the same thing. i think it the cold solder joint,, can u show me how to do it. i dont know where to start.. thanx ,, im apreciate...

you would have to open up the monitor casing to get at the circuit board(s) & resolder all the solder joints. i've done it on floppy controllers, motherboards & crt monitors. might want to take it in to a repair shop to see how much it will cost or just leave the monitor on all the time.

thanx for ur help ddp, could it be the cable that connect from the video card to the monitor,, bcause one of the pin fall off. could this be the problem.. does the pin has a color code to it, thanx again...

highly unlikely the cable is causing the problem unless where it is soldered in the monitor. not all pins are used if a vga 15pin connector as about 4 pins are not connected.
