I don't want to upgrade yet as an exploit for 1.51 may be released before 1.52 & 2.0, but want to be able to play Midnight Club, I've already purchased the game and it's no good to me at the mo' :(

Does anyone know how to get around the Firmware check the game performs?

You need to have v1.5 or v1.0 to change firmware number. But there's already a hack for v2.0 so you could update to that. You can download playable pong homebrew for v2.0 from pspupdates.com ;)

I'm sure you've read about this but there is a downgrader from 2.0 to 1.5 as of now.
