I live in the UK and am condidering purchasing a Jap PSP1000KCW model (White model). I am aware that should this unit develop a fault I would have problems getting it repaired throught the Sony UK network (at cost!!).

Is there anything else I should be aware off?? Esentially this is the same as the UK model but with the Sharp screen I believe. Am I correct in saying that Firmware updates are done through the PSP when connected via wireless i.e. I wont have any probs updating the firmware if I had to?

The ceramic white psp is identical to normal psp, except the color of course. Updating is not a problem, you can download them at sony's site or directly with psp. If you have a game that requires firmware update, it always has the needed firmware included. Oh yeah, all cw psp's are v2.0 so you don't need to upgrade, at least for a while. And since that buffer overflow hack has been discovered in v2.0, you shouldn't upgrade even if sony makes a new firmware ;)
