i know that file sharing is a gift from above but let's be honest, there is a dark side to it. which leads me to a very serious question that has been eating (he he) at me for a while. is porn protected by the MPAA? have you ever heard of someone getting busted for downloading "Amateur Angels" or "Kinky Coeds"? I have thought of many different reasons for why it could or couldn't be, but could someone clarify this.

Damn...

Let's Put it this way - if its a movie that you can get from a dvd rental store - you can get busted

*Home* vidoes are fine as they aren't copyrigted, but...

If it includes anything dodgy eg. child molestation, it is most definetely ILLEGAL.

that's clearly understandable. i had a feeling it was something to that effect. thanks for the info.

p.s.,
and no, i'm not about to start up (insert favorite file sharing app here) and start downloading a ton of porn. the reason for this thread was purely educational.

Damn...

Do they actually go after anyone for porn though? I mean wouldn't they be preoccupied with trying to stop big blockbusters and whatnot?

"Amateur Angels" or "Kinky Coeds" nice title are they real good????
lol jk

i don't think porn are protected because from what i heard MPAA is a alliance formed by major film company such as sony's columbia, wb time warner, universal studio and etc etc, which require a large amount of $$ to carry on legal operations.
since most porn companies are not giant except maybe the well known playboy or sin city, still they are nothing compare to major hollywood studios so in conclusion porn are not protected by MPAA.

maybe only for now, soon or later they probably also gonna form an alliance such as APAA(adult picture association of america) some sh!t like know.

stop hoping, start loving.

actually, doesnt it depend on IF the porn's publisher is on the MPAA memberlist? MPAA acts as Hollywood's/ film industries watchdog doesnt it? Porn studios arent excluded from being members of the MPAA. Matter of fact jadedvideo.com has recently been found to be reporting links posted on torrent sites to the MPAA.
