I used to be able fast foward movies and shows with 1.5 speed and 2X speed fine with sound working and everything just fine. But I must have installed something that doesn't mesh well with it. Now when I try and fast foward in showtime at 1.5 or 2X the movie speed stays the same but the sound is seriously screwed up and choppy. Any body got any tips for me.

Try a "System Restore" and restore back to a time when things were working properly.
