After researching software that says it authors with .vobs and then searching for weeks for the elusive downloads still no luck and the few programs I did find only authored with dvd-valid mpeg's not ripped .vobs
I have perfected the ripping, stripping, creating .IFO's, VTS sectors and burning with ALL dvd's even double disk dvd-9 this was a bit tricky, Movies like pearl harbor and the remake of dune...
Anyway my disks play great on 90% of players execpt the xbox wich only wont play them because there is no menu and just the movie the only diffence is the menu VTS_01_0.VOB in authored DVD's (commercial dvd's and home dvd made with ulead ect..)
So I guess my question is there actualy software out there that can author Menu's with .VOB's Because down-encoding and authoring is lunacy and I would like to keep 100% audio/video quality or is there a way to put VTS_01_0.VOB in there and have it point automaticly to VTS_01_1.VOB so xbox would think there was a menu but it would just auto play
comments welcome please, Toe.

P.S. will post guide soon for review

Demuxing the VOBs to m2v and ac3 files and then authoring a menu in Maestro (or any otrher authoring program) will not result in a drop in quality. It will be exactly the same quality.
However
It is fairly strightforward to keep the original menu and there are plenty of guides out there on how to do it. I never bother with the menu so I can't help you there, I also don't have an Xbox so I can't help there either.
