Help please this is driving me nuts

I have the good'ol Azureus NAT error problem and the yellow smileys (if I'm lucky). I've tried all the help suggested on the varous forums here (and elsewhere) - to no avail.

If anyone can help me I'll donate $50 to a charity of their choice.

Here's my setup:

Billion Bipac-7100S/7100 ADSL Modem/Router (Firewall turned off)
Linksys WRT54G Router (the computer is connected directly via ethernet cable to the Linksys which is connected by cable to the ADSL Modem)

The computer (a Sony Vaio) is running Win-98 (I only want to use this old PC as a download client) There is no firewall on the PC. It only runs Azureus v.2.3.0.4 and Firefox (to find torents.

The PC has a static IP 192.168.1.101 and I've put it in the DMZ of the Linksys Router's firewall.

I've chosen port 7666 for Azureus as it is an unassigned port number according to iana.org. I've been to portforward.com and followed the advice there to forward the 7666 port to 192.168.1.101 (both TCP and UDP).
I've also set port triggering for this port on the Linksys router but no change with triggering either on or off.
The firewall on the Linksys is enabled with the Filter Internet NAT Redirection option checked (I believe this turns on port forwarding)
(however turning the firewall off makes no difference)

I've done port forwarding on both the Bilion and the Linksys (but also tried it just on either one).

I've set the listening port in Azureus's option to 7666 and bound it to the computer's IP address.

Just for testing I've picked a very healthy torrent with 32 seeds and I get the yellow smiley and poor download speeds < 1kb/s if I'm lucky most of the time its zero :-(

I can get a green smiley if I conect the PC directly to the Billion ADSL modem but then I can't use my wireless network for my other PC.

Regardless of the green or yellow smiley I still get the NAT Error test from Azureus but I gather there is a bug in that and it may mean nothing.

help please - I have no hair left :-(
