Hi, does anyone know why my download speed is irregular, for example I downloaded this torrent it can reach till 170kb(less than 100 for seeders and leeches). Then another time I downloaded another torrent, it could barely reach 30kb(more than 500+ seeders and leechers). In just a week back it was working fine and this week have been eccentric n I dont remember changing anything too. Anyone know wats the problem? Thanks...your help would be most apprectiated.

*both torrents are not downloaded 2gether..

Firstly, what were the ratio's of seeders and leechers, because they arent the same thing.. one may have had 80% leechers & the other one 80% seeders. the leechers are the ones that don't upload - so they are no use to you.

what client are you using? eg bitlord Azureus etc

it can depend on a lot of things, your explanation is a little hazy.... some seeders on one may have had slower connections....do you have a firewall/router?....were the files different sizes?....

also, bittorrent is pretty notorious for not having 100% regular downloads.....

Hi, thanks for replying btw.

I am not very sure which is the ratio of both the seeders and leechers, i will just state the numbers I see in the torrent.
Share rating 0.313. 17 peers 45.9% completed, 42 seeds, 3.998 distributed copies. Could u guide me into knowing how to read. Will not uploading much affect the speed of download? Cos my dont seem to upload much usually 0-20kb while the download rate is much higher.

I am currently using BitTornado.

I remove all firewalls and using a router. The files were indeed of different sizes.

Thanks again...
