Hi
I have read every were and did everything but never achieved green light using BitTornado and my maximum download speed is always less than 10 KB/s. I have tried that (Shield up) service to check for ports and got all the ports from 6881-6899 as Stealth mode. This is after unblocking firewalls and port forwarding the IP address 6881-6899.
Can anyone tell me why it is still in stealth and if it is correct or not.
I have also tried lowering the upload to 20 and increasing the peer number to 40 but no big change. I am using DSL and a router (Alcatel speed touche 500 and have windows XP.
Oh yeah, there another three computers connected to this router but no main.
Please read and follow every step of the BitComet guide in my signature or read J-Kwons torrent guide. If you still need help feel free to post again, and we will continue to help you.
Bitcomet guide doesnot applay to my BitTornado. Also i have this new information:
I have searched a lot but can't find how to forward port range for Thompson/Alcatel 500 router. My connection is broad Band. My Download speed is 98 KB/S and uploads speed 176 KB/S. I am using Bit Tornado to download form Bittornet and made sure that firewalls are off for both Bitts and the PC confirmed that by asking me to turn it off/on. I have no antivirus programs and tried to forward the ports indivdully in my router from 6881-6889 and 10000-10004 all TCP.
The problem is i can't download higher than 10 KB/S most of time it is 1 or 6 KB/s and made sure tat the upload rate is 40 and there are many seeders, nuts I can't get a green light at all. May be the problem is configuring my router since there are no option in the set up that has (port range) configuration.
I had to enter each port and entered about 20 ports from 10000-10004 and 6881-6889. Oh yeah when testing port using Shieldup.com program ports 6881-6889 appeared as closed while 10000-10004 appeared as Stealth. Is this correct?
The only guide I found in www.Portforwarding.com didn?t include port range and asks to enter some ports twice as TCP and UDP and leaving the rest as empty, no good.
Can anyone advise or direct me to guide to configure the Port Range for Alcatel 500 router for BitTornado conncetion.
Using BitComet there is a slight increase of 7- 5 kb/s in single torrnet dowbload but the same speed with multiple torrents download. I disabled firwalls and followed the guide for BitComet but the same results for the same torrents.
Is there a need to forward ports for BitComet or set the random Port bottun?
