I have ripped dozens of dvds in the past with no problem, but recently when I rip a dvd and burn it I start to have problems. The disc will play on my dvd rom but when I try to play it in my standalone player the display just goes to STOP.

Any suggestions?
I'm using Smartripper, IFOEDIT, then Nero to burn.

No offense intended.

As u have been backing up with no earlier problems, have u changed anything within ur method?

Changed media, using WRONG media, changed burning options within nero, not ripped the correct files, not checked the correct options in ifoedit, different settings in smartripper, replaced ur standalone with another that doesn't play dvdr's, dvd player u/s, updated nero lately etc etc.

These r but a few and may be part of ur problem, but if u can provide a step/step method may be we can help.
