i think after it shut's off you turn ur psp back on and go to your memory stick section and u will see an update there its gonna start the 1.5 update its gonna frezze at 99% dont worry wait bout 10 seconds if your psp dosent turn off turn it off then turn it back on when u turn it on you will see a blue message it will say that your psp is corrupted or something just press "o" and it will fix it and volla u got 1.5 ^_^

ok this is the last time im going to say this! take all the folders off and put them on in this ordor: UPDATE FIRST,
overflow.tif second, and h.bin and index.dat third. maybe this will fix your problem.

ok, turn off the wallpaper, set ur theme to Original, just incase.
Back-up and delete all the pics in ur PHOTO folder on the PSPs memory stick.
goto your x:\PSP\GAME folder on the mem stick and create a new folder called UPDATE.
copy the EBOOT.PBP from your downgrader kit into the UPDATE folder you just made.
copy overflow.tif into the x:\PSP\PHOTO folder on your memory stick.
copy h.bin and index.bat to the root folder of your memory stick x:\
This should be the same folder where you see the PSP folder.
Plug in you AC adapter, fire up the PSP, try to open the overflow.tif.
PSP should crash, hold the power switch for about 5-10 seconds to turn it off. If it doesnt turn off, just pull the battery out.
Turn it back on, now try the PSP Update 1.50 from the Game menu on the PSP and follow the instructions. The process will crash at 99%, once it does, you'll see a load of letters and hex codes, turn the PSP off as before.
Turn on the PSP and it should be reset to version 1.5..hopefully :)

where exactly do you put the 2 things into your root memory? do you coopy them into the MP_ROOT section? or is it like PSP/COMMON, PSP/GAMEDATA etc... ?

As I stated, paste the two files into the same folder where you see the PSP folder. Not into the PSP folder, but the same folder PSP is contained in. The directory structure should be like this
x:\h.bin
x:\index.dat
(x is the letter windows has given to your PSP/Memory Stick
Root means the first folder or the top-most folder you see when you connect the PSP to ur computer. When Windows asks what you want to do, you select "Open Folder to View Files". The folder that appears is your root folder.
