Need help w/DVD+R errors

I have been able to rip/decode and burn DVD's just fine until recently. Every time I burn a ripped/decoded copy I get errors right when it reaches 99% or no errors but it wont play when I go to play it on the PC or TV. I have tried using Roxio, Nero, Alcohol, and Clone DVD. I usually use DVDShrink or DVDDecryptor first or an image that was ripped by someone else. The odd part is, it works fine using a DVD+RW but doesn't with a DVD+R. If anybody has had this problem or has any idea what I am talking about and can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you change anything with your blank media like: Different brand names/different format/different spindle-pack size/or even different spindle of same media from when they were successful.

What is the brand name and speed rate of the blank media that you are using?

Sounds like media problem since DVD+RW discs work,but not your +r.Poor quality media must be burned slower and main thing,you must reduce the backup target to keep the burn from reaching outer edge of blank disc.This is where uneven dye issues linger on the poor media.

Errors at 99%: This is the end of your disc. Since you mainly use DVD Shrink,Definetely reduce your backup target.

Open up dvd shrink
Edit
Preferences
Click on dvd-5/scroll till you get custom/enter 4300 mbs in the box next to custom.
Click OK and your new backup target is set!

I leave mine set at 4360 mbs and keep the burn from reaching the last 1 mm from the edge.

saugmon, you Bad boy! Those "Variety" movies can be very easy, or "tricky" to back-up. Of course, I know nothing...he he. Those type movies have many "titles". Some need to be "split". Others can easily be exactly backed -up. Really though, to BriDog67: I totally agree with saugmon, reduce you target size. If that doesn't work, try a different brand media. Some of the "cheap stuff" can drive you Crazy! Use Quality media like Taiyo Yuden Made Fuji (Made in Japan) Verbatims, Maxells, Sonys.. From my own experience, STAY AWAY from Khypermedia & Memorex, or should I say "cough" Memosux.
