best way to record weekly radio programs to mp3?

Greetings,

What is the best way to record weekly radio programs to mp3? I can either hook up a radio to my sound card or use a radio card. But I need it to always start recording at the same time (ala TIVO) and not overwrite the previous files.

I used StreamBox VCR for a while to tape the streamed radio, but when the machine gets rebooted it seems to lose its mind and forget its schedule.
