People downgrading not worth the risk. New games example midnight club 3 need versions 1.52 or higher to run. So therefore you will be stuck with the like 10 only games that work on 1.50. I heard a rumor from a site that the new gta game will need version 2.0 witch kind of sucks.
that?s just my opinion let me know what you think.
thanks

Thats right, just downgrade to 1.50 and use WAB changer to fake your firmware quickly to 1.52 or 2.0 & Midnight Club works with no problem - tried it & plays fine. Any idea how to shrink it to a 1GB memory card though???

or you can NOT use the WAB Tricky Thingy, you could just use UMD Emulator which MIGHT emulate your psp as 2.00 or get rid of the "needs upgrade."
I was told to change my sig so I did this.

hey I also read that the "HELLO WORLD" was released on the 2.0 firmware, so pretty soon we might see that version completely cracked.

Wait so if we have an older version we wont be able to play midnight club3????????? So why did we buy the damn thing anyways so that it can be obsolete within 6 months. If that's the case then Sony should get sued. They wouldn't dare to scre us like that.....would they?
I know you're good but I am better.

As other People have already stated to bypass a "Please update!", for Games. You can use the WAB Firmware Changer. Alas having tryed it on my Downgraded 1.52 -> 1.5 I'm not able to run the Spiderman Demo on the or any of those Music Vidios that came with the Demo UMD. Playing Game Demos works fine though.
As far as the WAB (or other Teams), Firmware Changer. It's looking more likely that such Programs are going to be needing an update soon.
Yes folks, $0NY are back at it again! This time it's that Legendary Firmware "2.01"! The sick thing is, unlike all thos wonderfull mysticall Upgrader / Downgrader Theories, that promised Homebrew, with 2.01.
$0NYs' 2.01 will KILL YOUR HOMEBREW & ISO LOADERS!!!
At the monent you can only get 2.01 though either $0NYs' Japanese PSP Homepage. Or though the Network Update Feature of your PSP.
NEEDLESS TO SAY STFA FROM IT IF YOU VALUE YOUR HOMEBREW AND ISO LOADERS!!

Has any one got burnout legends iso to work on downgraded psp. Do you have to trick it into thinking its a 2.0 with umd emulator????

OK EVERYONE:
YOU DONT NEED 2.00 TO PLAY GTA.
You get UMD Emulator and it will get rid of yhe "Update Required" thing for you.
I CAN PLAY CODED ARMS WITH IT ON MY 1.50 PSP!!! AND IT NEEDS 2.00!!!
BTW you could also use WAB Version CHanger.
I was told to change my sig so I did this.

please loose the all caps man. That is really annoying.
I have not tried the swap trick but i have heard it works so why worry about upgrading to play the newer games or using application when swapping is a lot quicker. Just put in one game, swap and play.

There are few ways of getting pass The update, first of all is the WAB version changer, or u can Dump ur UMD to ur MS then play it( this will even let u play other region coded games or movies), the only reason thoses games needs u to update is cuz SONY wants u to update, the games needs none of the update, future games might start stick a bit, if so just 'Overclock' ur PSP to 333MHZ, these are noting to worrie about .
