PLEZZ HLP with MY PSP

hi i just started my psp(no not for the first time) up and it just stays at the background pic evn with a game in and no i haven't done anything to it.

all it shows on screen is the time date and battery bar.

i rang up sony just now and they said it will cost £135(approx. $245 for u americans.) to fix its not free because i imported mine.

i can't see any menu icons such as the game music etc. icons.


so all you intelligent people can you please help me out!

p.s. i am not a psp noob i know how to run homebrew but i did not as i was scared this would happen. and it did even if i didn't use homebrew.


my psp is ver. 1.5 JAp 1000k serial num:SJ******

or you could go to wherever you got the PSP from and have them fix it for you.
Or you could trade it in (with someone stupid enough to trade in a possibly bricked psp, like eb) and get a new one or send threatening letters to SONY CORP. HQ.
Seriously, it BS, you shouldn't have to pay $HEAPSA just to fix a PSP!!! You may as well buy a new one if it really is $250-ish USD. I live in Australia, and the guys at Toys'r'us are dumb enough to trade in a bricked psp. plus, you can only give them only the psp. so you can get yourself an unlimited supply of 32MB Memory Sticks. Imagine getting 14GBs worth of 32MB Memory Sticks just by ripping off Toys'r'us!!!

I CAN'T BECAUSE THE WARRENTY IS JAP N LETSPLAY THIS IS CLOSING DOWN AND IT COSTS 150 QUID TO REPAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
