firstly edit your serial number before it gets stolen.

Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ?
are you using an external burner?

CdRomPeripheral : AXV CD/DVD-ROM 2.0B a347scsi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: Off
DiskPeripheral : Maxtor 5T020H2 nvatabus Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off
DiskPeripheral : ST320430A nvatabus Port 1 ID 1 DMA: Off
CdRomPeripheral : HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8526B nvatabus Port 1 ID 2 DMA: Off
CdRomPeripheral : HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4040B nvatabus Port 1 ID 3 DMA: Off
CdRomPeripheral : NERO IMAGEDRIVE2 2.26 imagedrv Port 2 ID 0 DMA: Off
you need to enable dma

Disc Manufacturer: CMC MA - G. AE1
these are in my opinion the worst discs you can buy and you will find this is more likely your problem.recommend sony,ty or verbatim.

TA-Status 0x02 (0x01, SCSI_TASTATUS_CHKCOND)
Sense Key: 0x03 (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR)

the burner is internal (LG), and i've been using these discs for a couple months and had no problems whatsoever until recently, so i doubt it's the discs all of the sudden. sounds like this is a stumper

@dkbond -

as mybarras pointed out, there are a few things that need fixing in your setup, but all of that will only work for a while as those media are indeed, utter atrocious rubbish. the whole point is that they are inconsistet, you will have some success with them, then they will let you down - substandard manufacture, pure and simple i'm afraid..
