Hey guys wasup
Well i have a quick question for you guys.
i still have a old sony 4x dvd burner and only buy 4x media. I was able to buy ritek brand dvd-r 4x at supermediastore.com, but it seems they stop selling them. Does any one else know of a good brand that still makes 4x media. I tried Taiyo Yuden, but they dont always work in different dvd players. Also does any one know how to check the quality of the dvd media through dvddecrypter?
Thanks

I have an old NEC 1300a that is not a dual layer and will only burn at 4x, but I can use 8x media in it. Make sure your firmware is up to date on your burner you can do this through Decrypter by opening the Tools tab, then Drive and you will see check for firmware updates.
As far as media you are safe if you stick with the name brand such as Sony, Verbatim, Fuji [MIJ] Maxell and Taiyo Yuden.
