How do I convert avi to .m1v (without TMPGEnc)?

Hi.
I tried to make a VCD with TMPGEnc. The avi file was xvid with .ac3
Problem is that it freez after 35.10 minutes
of encoding.
Is there other way i can try ?

You can try a couple of encoders like the panasonic mpeg-1 encoder or something! Or you could look for a program called avifixed and see if it will fix any bad frames in the xvid file and stop the pause with TMPGEnc!
