I have two avi files and two .srt files.

It would be fine if I wanted to make two discs, because the numbering and timing on each of the srt files starts from 0.

Combining the avi files is easy.

What I want to do is combine both srt files so that the second runs in correct timing after the first. I have loaded them both into Subtitle Workshop but they seem to save only as one or the other.

What's the answer?

Thanks.

You can do it wit SW
Quote:
Can join an indefinite number of subtitles, and those subtitles may be in different formats with different FPS (you can select a different FPS for each file).
And here is how

I figured that it had to be able to do it, but wasn't sure how.

I'll come back to you on that one, if I have any issues with that.

As you seem to have your finger on the subtitle pulse, there's another question I posted here that I'll briefly mention.

I can see a subtitle as italicised in Subtitle Workshop, with the <i> tag. When added to an AVI, in the latest version of DivXtoDVD, the result is burned with Shrink. I can then still see the <i> in the text, as though it was meant to be there. Is that a DivXtoDVD problem or something that happens with subs?

Have you test to change format of that sub file (to sub, srt or txt)?

That's something I had not thought of.

I have also just got another editor to try.

Perhaps it was simply a foible of the one I used.
