Is this legal or not? all the music i have ever downloaded was for educational purposes. how would this hold up in court? (i live in the u/s)

Sometimes for 'self-education' (guitar) purposes, some for school (jazz songs to listen too, and never for profit do i play these tunes.

you have a fair question there, but i reckon tey will still say illegal. reason being a lot of people will jump on the bandwagon and start making excuses especially with the 'self education thing', lol...it would open up a can of worms...
