Hey,
I use the mircophone of my Hi8 camcorder to record voice overs of videos. The camera is connected with a standard audio cable (a 1/4th" cable I believe...the one which is usually color coded green and connects speakers) from the headphone output into my Sound Blaster Live 24 bit sound card. I use Audacity to record the signal.

The problem is that whenever I sync the audio up to the video in a timeline, the audio will go off sync with the video. I have to split the audio track up every 10 minutes or so of the duration to re sync it.

Any ideas on what might be wrong and how to fix this so the audio doesn't go off sync?

(Btw, I may have compressed the audio with LAME after I did the voiceover if that makes any difference. Also I've gotten a new audio cord since the last time I've recorded...the old one seemed kinda flimsy)
