Hi, this might seem like a stupid question ! But as a fast learning PSP novice, can you buy games from America, Japan, Hong Kong and still play them on a UK PSP without having to modify the machine or firmware ?

Is the gaming system/issue just like Gameboy Advance i.e. there is no format issues here is there - i.e. PAL and NTSC formats etc. so all games work on all machines or are they area restricted like DVDs in to Zones of the World ?

I think the various UMD Movies currently available in the shops are however restricted to Zones from what I hear. Again, am I right in thinking this ?

Just to let everyone know I think this forum and Afterdark web site is great, I have already learnt how to convert DVD movies and send them to my PSP Duo Memory Stick and they work just fine, so thanks for that.

youre right in both cases.you can play games from anywhere but movies are region coded so you cant.
