ok guys heres the deal~

i flashed my friends black psp from 2.0 to 1.5 so i can do that an such.

but my main questions are dealing with the UMD emulator and the Fast Loader

do these require a UMD in the drive?
i read in another thread that the emulator required a UMD in the drive, but supports more games, and the fast loader dost require a umd but doesnt load as much ?

can this be confirmed , thanks ;D

im looking forward to the arrival of my White PSP, my 1gig memory stick alrady arrived and i dont wanna have to pay for a sodding game XD

Fast Loader doesn't need an UMD in the drive while UMD Emulator has to have one in there. Most ISOs work with Fast Loader but some don't and you have to use UMD Emulator. Fast Loader's boot process is a bit quicker with less steps.

also heard u can just pop in the UMD sampler disc and umd emulator should work fine.

you dont get a sampler disc in japan, so i just got the white psp :D
my dad bought me everybodies golf so ive been playing tonnes of downloaded games :D

umdemulator/fastloader does require the disc.

There is a program called Device Hook that doesnt require a UMD, but is compatible with less games .. still, most of the games I run work great on it. This includes Dynasty Warriors, Untold Legends, Virtua Tennis and Burnout
